Welcome to our FlowArts Convention information page. We’re exited to finally greet you all in person at Ostflimmern 2023!
Here you will find all information and links for the festival.

Your ticket gives you access to the whole weekend. We do not offer special day or visitor tickets, nor are there any helper tickets available.
Your ticket grands you access to:

- All Workshops
- Our firespace with live DJs until the early hours
The number of tickets is limited to 200. We should have ample space for camper vans.
Of course we also offer lower prices for children up to 11 years of age (half price).

Our FlowArt & Fire Convention is a shared, playful, creative and of course absolutely fiery OwnPlanetUniverseTimeSpace with all conceivable tools, long days with awesome workshops, and even longer nights with the flames.
During the day you can expect a lot of workshops + trick-sharing + training offers. You are very much invited to create workshops yourself as well.
And if you are an absolute beginner = excellent, then this convention is exactly the right one for you! You can try out various tools and techniques and learn a bunch of new things. For newcomers to the world of fire play we give a special first-burner workshop, and there will be a fire safety workshop for all participants.
The firespace is open for all skill levels and is designed to have fun and dance with the flames until the early morning hours… dance away!

Location
We’re guests at the Aviation Museum near Finowfurt
This means an awesome new location to explore, and with lots of secrets to discover. Old hangars and bunkers from times long past, radar installations from the previous century, and you might even find a nearly intact MIG standing around, seemingly ready to fly away at a moments notice…
Naturally we will make sure to treat these discoveries with respect (no, we can’t climb on any of them or play fire from the cockpit), and ensure that they remain in the same state as we have found them.

Location
We’re guests at the Aviation Museum near Finowfurt

Accommodation
Camping outside? Awesome!
There’s a ton of space available on the fields and in the forest behind our main hangar for your tents, camper-van’s, hammocks, cuddle puddles, and other sleeping solutions.
Camper-van spots
The camper spots are on the fields market on the map (Link).
Campgrounds
The tent sites are spread over the grounds. They are under trees, on forest ground or grass.
Accommodation
Cozy bunk beds or camping outside? The choice is yours!
We have 4 rooms with 12 bunk beds each. As you can choose your spot yourself it certainly pays off to be on time.
As a house-sleeper you need bed linen + sheets, you can book these when you register (for a one-time contribution of € 5,-). Alternatively you can bring your own bed linen or sleeping bag (don’t forget a sheets).
In case you didn’t remember to bring them it’s always possible to get them from us (of course with the above mentioned fee).
Camper-van spots
We have two types of spaces for your camper-vans; the first at the soccer field for the big ones, and the second one at the forest stage for smaller van or car sleepers. If your camper has extreme over-length, over-width, over-height, or is abnormally large in any other dimension, please discuss this with us so that we can assess whether it fits the terrain.
Campgrounds

Food!
Your ticket already includes breakfast on Friday and an extensive breakfast / brunch on Saturday/Sunday!
Thursday we heat up the BBQ, be sure to bring your own meat, veggies, tofu or anything you might want to grill.
Barbecue charcoal, lighter, crockery and cutlery is available.
Warm meals in the evening
On Friday and Saturday evening a warm meal will be prepared for you for a fair fee. For you the FirePotCrew will cook everything fresh with loving dedication directly on site.
This hearty meal is served with a small salad, additionally there will be a tasty soup. The food is vegan, organic & regional.
Self-catering
For hungry self-catering guests there is the possibility to use the small kitchen. There you can prepare a snack or warm up something for yourself.
Furthermore, there is also the outdoor barbecue, on which you can grill everything imaginable, not only on Thursdays but every other day too!
Of course it goes without saying that everybody will clean up any mess they might produce while grilling said imaginations.
Water
At the entrance you will receive a small water bottle from us when you go through the admission (no bubbles). Since Berlin’s drinking water is of such an excellent quality you can fill your bottle fresh again and again… That’s both thirst-quenching and sustainable!
Important!
Personal camping stoves are strictly forbidden on the premises because of the danger of forest fire! Yes, we understand the irony of this but we have to enforce this rule, no exceptions.

Then just bring your own mp3-player (with the song on it) or USB stick to the DJ and he might delight you. Your Apple devices can be left at home though, unfortunately they’re not compatible with our system (that goes with all round fruit actually, it just gets too messy).
And who knows, if you are up for it it might be possible to do a live performance or organize a jam session yourself!

Strain your brain with impossible movements, work your muscles into a sweat induced soreness and tune it all back with a relaxation workshop… Yeah!
Or maybe you prefer a herb-collecting-hike-through-the-forest, an advanced course of partner poi or an introduction to Qi Gong?
Whatever you fancy, we are looking forward to another colorful, diverse and simply awesome program from and for you.
If you would like to share your knowledge and knowhow about a certain theme or tool then this is the chance to do so! Offer a workshop or start a trick sharing session.
Any topic is welcome, besides the classic topics where you teach or perfect new tricks there is also space for subjects like wild herb gathering, massages, relaxation exercises, yoga, ballet or singing… let your fantasy run wild!

We know you were thinking the exact same thing, so make sure to register your workshop as early as possible!
For your convenience we’ve implemented a registration form directly on this website, here you can describe your workshop and give us all needed details. Once we have a couple of workshops we’ll publish the time table and update it regularly.
Before the start of the Convention we will provide you also with the finalized version of the workshop plan in PDF form so you can print it / save it to your phone.

Dogs
We know mans best friends awesome, but a fire convention is probably not the best and comfortable place for them…
So, we can only allow them in absolute emergency cases, which must be discussed with us beforehand.
They are not allowed to roam the convention grounds alone, and at night they must be well lit and always on a leash (this also goes for your neighbors bush cat, you uncles guide monkey or your favorite jackass).

Fire Renegade
On Saturday evening we will start our Fire Renegade. This is your chance to show some completely wacky, wicked or downright crazy stuff… and if the audience likes it you can even get a beer or mate as a reward!
Alright, so you’re new here, and will problem wonder what the duck this highly anticipated show is all about…
At the fire renegade the audience is offered a one hour long possibility to bring a spontaneous, and preferably badly rehearsed act live on stage. So YOU – yes exactly – YOU can take part here.
It’s not supposed to be a highly refined show act, but rather about taking the opportunity to bring some weird & wonky ideas to the table. Your performance should be short and crisp, about 3 minutes. If possible with fire and slightly dangerous, but also funny and unexpected. Muuuaaah… Fail gloriously or achieve perfection, it matters not, entertain us and you will be rewarded!
As you can see, it is neither a gala show nor an open stage with some artists from outside… instead you can be the legend of the evening and quench your thirst in the process, epic!
And, already inspired toward creative greatness? You found the courage to jump onto stage for a breathtaking moment? Then just scooch down onto our Renegade Bench, and await your turn. Just don’t linger too long before acting, once the bench is empty for too long or the hour is over, we close up and move to the firespace!
